I was born in Northern California and raised on Country Music.
I am big into horses and used to do the rodeo thing back in the day.
My Dad served in the Army & my Uncle in the Navy, both in World War
II. Also two of my brothers served in Vietnam, one in the Army and one
in the Navy, so I understand how important our Military is to our
Country and why they do what they do.
The reason I got into DJ'ing on the net is because I wanted to do
something for our men and women in the Military, to show them that we
support them in what they do to protect our country.
I have been doing this for our Troops since January 2006, and it has
been one of the most important things I have ever done.

-- Technical Director ... Ohio, USA
Currently in the Ohio Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant (SSGT) -
Communications - Computer Systems Operations.
In real life I'm Tom V, an Enterprise Unix Administrator for Logic
Technologies Inc. I'm a Unix OS professional administrator for
over 1000 servers on a daily basis. I also run multiple servers
in my home.
I'm married to the wonderful Penny for the past 23 years and we have 4
children together.
Son Matt is a US Army Pfc, Son Tom is a US Marine L/Cpl, Son Derek is

10 year veteran, United States Marine Corps - Sergeant. Served with all
4
Marine Divisions. I was nicknamed VDOG in Okinawa, Japan in 1984
because no one could pronounce my last name. It stuck, I've always been
a DEVIL DOG, Forever Gung Ho. Always a United States Marine first
and Foremost!
Now I'm wearing another Uniform but, I'm Serving once again! How
many people can say they served with HONOR and PRIDE in 2 branches of
the United States Military? Not many, I am .001% of the
population that have served in 2 era's with Pride,
Honor and Respect. I am Forever...

DOCTOR
D … Assistant Technical Director … Michigan, USA
I grew up in Southwestern Ohio, and my Dad would play all sorts of Rock
Music, hence my love for Classic Rock, Hard Rock and going into the
80's. I later branched out into R&B, Classical, Rap,
Alternative, and Techno. My show, "The Sound Lab" mainly focuses
on Rock, Alternative, 80's and Techno. The reason for the show's
title
is to show how each and every show is like a lab, where I try out new
and different
mixtures of music, and see how it works. Where else are you going
to hear an 80's song followed by a Techno song, followed with a Classic
Rock song?
My Dad also served in the US. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller,
my Uncles also served in the US Marine Corps and US Army. So, my
show is to support and to give back to the families, veterans, and
first responders who do so much for us.
I've always been wanting to be a DJ, and my nick is rooted in that
dream, and it wasn't until working with SSGT-VDOG that he talked me
into becoming a DJ for A.F.B.Radio.

Mike
Cassell … The Philadelphia Boxing Report … Philadelphia, Pennslyvania,
USA
My name
is Mike Cassell. I was born in raised on the streets of
Philadelphia. I am a professional boxing Television and radio
commentator. I also am the senior editor of the Philadelphia
Boxing Report and the
Exclusive
boxing writer for the local Fox affiliate here in the fighting City of
Philadelphia. My televised 2 hr boxing shows can be seen on
Comcast
Sports Net nationally. My radio show was heard on ESPN 920 in Philadelphia.
They
folded their tents in
2007. I am tied deeply to the biggest names in the game and will
bring
them to
AFB Radio.
My
family has a long tradition serving our country dating back
to the civil war, on both sides. The Italian side of my family
arrived
on Ellis
Island, and then left 3 years later to fight in WWI. My
father
fought in Korea,
and 2 of his brothers fought in Germany during WWII. I would like
to
recognize
my Uncle Joe Petti. He did 2 tours in Vietnam on the Mekong
Delta. He
arrived
home and marched for veterans with Agent Orange.
After
being debilitated and stricken
to a wheelchair, he took his own life. He died without the
recognition
he
deserved. Two years after his death and an autopsy, the
government
decided he
did indeed have large amounts of the carcinogen in his blood.
They gave
his
family 5,000. I am here for him and people like him. If I
can bring
some
entertainment and enjoyment to someone’s life, I will be doing my part
for the fine men and woman who go unrecognized fighting and working for
our
freedom. I would also like to recognize my cousin, fireman
Phillip
Petti who
was a first responder and died on September 11th.
I didn’t know
Phillip very well, but am very proud of the heroism he displayed that
fateful
day.

... Shining Beacon For Soldiers to Follow Home ... Oregon, USA
I was born College Station, TX. and spent my high school years just
north of one of the live music capitals of the world, Austin, TX. I
joined the U.S. Navy in 1987 and spent most of my 8 year enlistment
working on the A-6 Intruder at N.A.S. Whidbey Island, WA. Since my
seperation from the U.S. Navy, I have worked for the Intel Corp. for
the last 14 years in Oregon, USA.
My roots in the military run 6 generations deep, and my heart is filled
with only love for our past, present, and future servicemen and thier
families. I hope that my time here at AFB Radio is one that lets you
know that you are not alone, from the spouse dealing with his/her first
deployment to the soldier who is just missing his home and family in
the states.
May all those servicemen and women who have given all rest in peace,
and may God bless all of our current servicemen and women come back to
our homeland soon and safe.
